SAFE assists eligible victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in accessing “restraining orders” against their abusers. For more information on the types of restraining orders available to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, please visit WomensLaw.org. Support and information are available during office hours and on the 24 Hour Crisis Line.
The forms necessary to obtain a domestic violence protective order (Form AOC-CV-303) are published by the North Carolina Judicial Branch and are available in English and Spanish at nccourts.gov.
Although SAFE staff and volunteers are not attorneys and will not provide legal advice or representation for clients, SAFE can connect clients with referrals for legal services.
