Volunteer Opportunities
Direct Services: Serve as an advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their children. This may involve crisis intervention, shelter intakes, court advocacy, support group facilitation, crisis line volunteering, gathering information, referral, and follow-up. Participation in a structured orientation program is required for those who want to work directly with clients.
Office Assistance: Assist with answering phones, running errands, writing thank-you notes, telephoning (call lists, canvassing, fundraising), data compilation, copying and other general office duties.
Fantastic Finds and SAFE Outreach Center: Assist with processing, pricing, and displaying merchandise for resale, as well as assisting customers.
Fundraising: Assist with special events or as a committee member.
